Making a difference for millions of older people

Published on 28 September 2023 03:22 PM

Age International's new report describes how the organisation and its partners have once again reached millions of older people worldwide, ensuring they aren't forgotten in humanitarian crises, helping them access health and income, and advocating for change.

The newly launched Impact Report tells the story of how the combined contributions of older people, supporters, local partners, staff and volunteers across the world made a difference in over 27 countries between April 2022 and March 2023.

Highlights include our work to make health systems more inclusive in Kenya and Mozambique, reaching over 100,000 older people affected by the conflict in Ukraine, and helping set up the first-ever discussion of older people at a Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.

The Report underlines our ongoing commitment to improving the lives of older people by collaborating with our partners and supporters, both in the UK and around the world.

In addition to the stories of older people involved in our work, the Report also features a foreword and interview with Age International CEO Alison Marshall, who joined the organisation in August 2022. She shares her reflections on our achievements and priorities, including the importance of working together:

"Working alongside partners in the global Age UK network increases our impact: we share learning, become louder and stronger, and build solidarity."

See the difference you've helped us make in 2022-2023.
